This Vacation
Henry found something for our kid Nicole to do this summer. In our subdivision, there's a learning center which offers reading and writing classes, and we plan on taking Nicole there. She will be an incoming Prep student in the next school year, and we'd like her to be as prepared as possible.
When we first enrolled her in school, she had just turned 4 years old in June. She didn't know how to read, write, distinguish letters, but she was darn good at using the computer for someone her age. She'd often surprise us because whenever we'd look at what she was playing on the PC, she would already be in Dora the Explorer's website or watching shows on the Cartoon Network website.
I hope she'll like being in her reading and writing summer class and that this class will help prepare her for the next school year.

Last October 7, 2011 was Nicole's Feast Day at school. Aside from dancing Baa Baa Black Sheep, Nicole played this game with her classmates where she had to keep a ball in between her legs as she jumped. A lot were laughing when it was Nicole's turn, as she was really slow and jumped small steps, but she didn't drop the ball. For us, she was great. :)

Here's the video of Nicole dancing to Baa Baa Black Sheep from yesterday's activity at school. She's just in Kindergarten and she turned four on the first month of school, making her the youngest in her class. :) The video and the dance may not be as spectacular to others, but it's wonderful for us.
School Dance
Nicole is excited for tomorrow's day at school. She and the rest of her class will be dancing, but when I ask her what song she's dancing to, she says she doesn't know, lol. :)
I'm excited that she's up to dancing in front of a lot of people and that she isn't shy. I sometimes feel like she's too young for school, but she's surprisingly doing very well. I wonder what tomorrow will be like for us.

Henry and I picked up both kids from school after their intrams were over. I didn't get to see Nicole cheer and play games, but when I picked her up she was really tired but happy and excited about how her day went. While we were waiting for her sister Keisha, I picked up this flower which was growing from a plant in their campus, and placed it on Nicole's ear. She asked me to take a picture of her, and requested I add it to her Facebook account, lol.

Nicole won't be up until after a couple of hours, and she'll be going to school. Here's a picture of her after I dressed her the other day in her school uniform. She looks like a big girl already. :)
I am Back!
OK, I was really shocked to find out that the last time I had updated my daughter's blog was back in Christmas. Obviously, I am not doing a very good job at this, lol! But things will be a lot different now as I vow to make regular updates.
For starters, Nicole will be starting Kindergarten this school year. She and Keisha are enrolled in the Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos and her school schedule is from 12 noon up to 2:30PM, kinda long for a preschooler in my opinion.
Nicole also finished her summer class a few weeks back, it was 2 weeks of classes, preparing her for the school year ahead. She never cried nor winced, and acted like a completely big girl. I guess I always thought of her as a baby because seeing the things she could already do on her own (put things in her bag, eat by herself, socialize with the teacher and other kids, etc.) really made me very proud.
